A few bits and pieces from the start of the school year!
I have re-opened for some in-person and online sessions with current clients. As there have (and will be) many changes for my highschool clients (especially at Correlieu), I am still expecting it to take some time for my current clients to get settled into a schedule that works for both of us while also accommodating the PHO protocol as a business within an office building. At the moment I am not taking on new clients until my current ones are comfortably settled into their new schedules. My goal continues to be that at some point in time in this 2020-2021 school year I will be able to take on some new learners! Access into the building is limited to clients only. Please use the provided methods of Contact on my Contact Us page on the website. As required by the BC PHO, my Covid-19 Safety Plan is posted on my website (see the Covid 19 tab), my Facebook page, and outside my office prior to any client attending an in-person session. I hope the first Term, Quarter and Semester goes well for all students!

A few bits and pieces before the school year officially starts!
I will be re-opening for some in-person sessions with current clients starting in September. As there have (and will be) many changes for my highschool clients (especially at Correlieu), I expect it to take some time for my current clients to get settled into a schedule that works for both of us and accommodates all the protocol we will be following. Therefore, I will not be opening up any leftover spaces for new clients at the moment, but hopefully at some point in time in this 2020-2021 school year! Access into the building is limited to clients only. Please use the provided methods of Contact on my Contact Us Page As required by the BC PHO, my Covid-19 Safety Plan will be posted on my website (see Covid 19 above), my Facebook page, and outside my office prior to any client attending an in-person session. Best wishes for a fantastic start for all those students attending the orientation days later in the week, as well as the students learning from home (hooray for school in your pyjamas!) Well, it's a bit of a waiting game to see what will happen come the start of school! I'm not sure what to expect either, and so for now I won't be taking on any new students until I get my current ones settled and underway, in whatever mode/method that may be. My hope would be to have things sorted out by the end of September, and to know if I am able to start working with some new students. However, this is only an educated guess based on my previous Septembers, and as we all know, this one will look a little different in many ways! So, alas.... more lessons on flexibility and pivoting continue :) In the meantime, here are some handy websites where you can check what is going on locally and provincially! It is also my experience that many organizations update their Facebook pages on a more regular basis than their websites (myself included), so you may want to check out those links first! Also, for some lightheartedness, look at who was outside my office earlier this week when I was leaving just before it got dark!! Aren't they CUUUUUUUTE?!?! Yes! we are still open and busy working with a whole range of students from grade 6 to 12 at the moment. I still have a few students who I started with back in 2011. They're getting older, and soon will be graduating!
Since I last posted, I also took on a volunteer position of secretary for our local community choir, the Q City Singers, and alas, all of my social media updating has been focused mainly on the choir's page :) Just in case you also want to join a community choir ;) please check out their website and facebook page as well. In the meantime, although I may not update my website as much as I'd like to the best way to contact me is either by email at momentumlearningcentre@gmail.com or through our Facebook Page. |
